PPE Kits

PPE kits are designed to protector workers when machines are in operation, anyone working in close proximity to an operating machine must be fully protected and use the correct PPE equipment. This equipment may change depending on the exact waste you are handling but as a minimum: gloves, aprons and visors must be worn when operating any of our machines.

When working with any kind of hazardous waste or operating any type of incinerator, you will need to wear personal protective equipment. This will safeguard your health and prevent any accidental injuries.

Essential PPE for waste handlers and incinerator operators

Face mask or safety visor – to protect eyes and mouth
Heavy duty gloves – to protect hands
Apron or coveralls – to prevent damage to clothing
Heavy duty boots – to protect feet

Why is Personal Protective Equipment required?

Waste handling

Handling waste – especially incinerating hazardous materials – can be a dangerous task. Workers need to be protected from disease and germs, which can be easily inhaled. It’s essential that any exposed skin on the arms and legs are fully covered as failure to do so could lead to irritation or burns.

Each machine has a range of built-in safety features but it is crucial that all staff around the machine are wearing full and correct PPE equipment to protect themselves from the heat given off.
